About Alan Bissett

Alan Bissett was born in Falkirk in 1975, and his acclaimed first novel, BOYRACERS, published whilst he was still a student, was based on his adolescent experiences there. He is a former English teacher and has lectured in Creative Writing at the University of Leeds and the University of Glasgow. He is also the editor of the anthology DAMAGE LAND: NEW SCOTTISH GOTHIC FICTION. Alan is now a full-time writer and playwright.
