Advances in Drug Therapy of Gastrointestinal Ulceration Summary

Advances in Drug Therapy of Gastrointestinal Ulceration by Andrew Garner

This volume is based on the proceedings of the 38th annual Biological Council Symposium on Drug Action, held at the Royal Institution, London, in April 1988. The conference was addressed by 20 international experts on gastrointestinal ulcers. The first section of the volume concentrates primarily on the therapy and treatment of peptic ulcer disease and provides up-to-date reviews of the pharmacological properties and clinical performances of current anti-ulcer drugs. The second part concentrates on current research in gastrointestinal ulceration in order to highlight new targets which may be exploited in the search for alternative anti-ulcer drugs.
