About Andy Reynolds

Andy Reynolds was born in London in 1948 and attended Grammar School in Harrow. In 1964 he took up an engineering apprenticeship. Deciding to leave industry in 1976, he joined the Hertfordshire Constabulary, serving in the Traffic Department and as a Scenes of Crime Officer. He still lives in Hertfordshire. Between 1976 and 2016 Andy also raced classic bikes, including Aermacchi, Seeley AJS and Matchless, Petty Norton, Manx Norton, BMW, Velocette, Paton, Honda K4, and Norton - JAP on real road and race-track circuits all over the UK and Europe. Andy lapped the TT course at over 100mph in practice for the 2008 Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix, and finished 3rd in the 2009 Senior Classic MGP. Andy was best known for his machine preparation, which brought the reliability that enabled him to finish in all but five of the 39 Isle of Man races that he entered.
