Over 200,000,000 words supply over 160,000 lexical definitions as well as entries covering biography, geography, science, technology, the arts and religion. The introductory section details the history of English, supplies glossaries of foreign loan words, prefixes and suffixes, and gives guidance on common spelling errors. The dictionary contains words new to the language since the publication of the CCED, and appendices include lists and tables which survey the fields of political history, the physical sciences plus current geo-political data.
