Brian Bridges is a Professor in the Department of Politics and Sociology at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. He has written and broadcasted extensively on the politics and international relations of the Asia Pacific region. His previous publications include Europe and the Challenge of the Asia Pacific and Europe, China and the two SARs (co-edited with Miguel Santos Neves)
