Reflections on a Quiet Rebel by Cal McCrystal
The quiet rebel is a dignified man, who never lost faith in the notion that one day the Protestant and Catholic working classes would forget their differences. However, his son, the author, did not share his optimism. This work is an account of life in Northern Ireland and in part a memoir of the author's father. It is a poignant journey covering the years and experiences of childhood, adolescence and young adulthood. The book sheds light on a country which persistently tears itself apart.
