In this third book about James, the bear, and Horatio, the rabbit, the two friends meet Calamity the racing donkey. Camilla Ashforth has also written "Horatio's Bed" and "Monkey Tricks" (shortlisted for the British Book Award's Illustrated Children's Book of the Year).
This is the third book about James, the bear, and Horatio, the rabbit. James and Horatio are quietly building a tower out of bricks and things when something crashes into James's Useful Box and sends them both flying. It's Calamity the donkey, racing as usual. Horatio thinks he would like to race too, he just can't find himself a suitable jockey. But racing Calamity proves to be extremely difficult, not least because of her habit of making up the track as she goes along. The two previous books about James and Horatio by Camilla Ashforth are "Horatio's Bed" and "Monkey Tricks" (shortlisted for the British Book Award's Illustrated Children's Book of the Year).
