This children's picture book focusses on the word chatting. It shows, through pictures and humor, the many meanings and applications the word can have. The book is intended to satisfy pre-school children's relish for words and their desire to use them properly. It is an extension to Shirley Hughes's "Nursery Collection". Shirley Hughes won the Kate Greenaway Medal for "Dogger" and has also received the Eleanor Farjeon Award for services to children's literature.
