I remember having this little book on paper quilling when I was little. Shortly after I had my hands full of glue, lots of messy paper strips all over the table and a mind left clueless I just gave up. It was just too fragile and complex at the time, but was it really me or was it the book? I always think paper, well it's just paper, how hard can it possibly be? Well it can definitely be complex, that's for sure and when you flip through the projects in this book, Three-dimensional quilling, you'll understand what beautiful crafts paper has given us.
The characters will look pretty impressive to your friends and with the proper display they will hardly believe they were made out of paper. I'm sure that even at that young age when I got that first crafts book I'm sure I would have been able to master it if it had the many step-by-step real photographs and easy instructions that this book offers.
What will you need? The main equipment will consist of only paper sheets and glue. You'll need some small, cheap additional items like sticks, a pincet and scissors. Interesting, right?
What will you learn to master? You'll learn the basic techniques for making closed loose coils, solid coils, cup coils, cone coils, ring coils and tubes, wheatears, pom-poms and tendrils.
What will you learn to make? You'll learn to make puppets, long-legged frogs, poodles, fairies and angels.
This book uses metric units as well as imperial units to make it easy. It saves a lot of time converting measurements!
