This work presents the underlying principles of cellular physiology and then covers the major organ systems - autonomic nervous system, neurophysiology, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, acid-base, gastrointestinal, endocrine and reproductive. It emphasizes clinical correlations through boxed case studies of classic disorders and explains clinical findings in terms of the underlying physiologic principles. Sample problems are provided together with numerical solutions and explanations of their application.
