From a helicopter skimming above the trees in the North West Australian outback, Lizzie Spender saw wild horses galloping below. In that instant, she fell in love with a chestnut colt with a crooked white blaze. Until now, her lifelong dream of owning a horse had been thwarted but, on turning fifty, she realised it was time to take her destiny in her own hands. She embarked on a seemingly impossible quest to find and befriend those same horses, and at long last to have her own.
