Mario Testino Summary

Mario Testino by Mario Testino

Whomever Mario Testino photographs, however he photographs them, whatever part of them he photographs, they embody the spirit of their moment. His sense of fashion, which has made him the most sought-after contemporary photographer, has transformed many of his portraits into icons. Sexy, famous, beautiful...a Testino portrait is unmistakable. As are his subjects. Testino's portraits constitute an ultra A-list in our obsessively celebrity-conscious age: Diana, Madonna, Naomi, Kate - those whose names have become the hallmarks, almost the logos, of the century turning. Then there are the faces (and bodies) of the unnamed men and women who give form to our constantly evolving sense of the beautiful...the portraits of desire. This book looks at some of his more striking portraits.
