Reveals the fascinating history of the first royal home in Wales since the English Civil War

A Royal Home in Wales Summary

A Royal Home in Wales: Llwynywermod by Mark Baker

The new story of the new Welsh royal residence of the Prince of Wales. Purchased in 2006 by the Duchy of Cornwall, Llwynywormwood is, amazingly, the first royal residence situated in Wales since the time of the English Civil War. A secluded and forgotten estate set tranquilly in the heart of Carmarthenshire, Llynywormwood has been a highly significant and symbolic purchase for the Prince of Wales. This book charts the history of a once great estate and follows a family's changing fortunes through to the sale and subsequent demolition of the mansion house and its recent renaissance.

Currently a PhD candidate at Cardiff University, Mark's home is on the North Wales coast.
