This work considers the way in which societies and the individuals within them function. It demonstrates how sociological thinking can usefully explain clinical practice in the healthcare world. Using sociological thinking and methods, the reader is encouraged to question and understand healthcare experiences. It explores sociological approaches to healthcare issues and knowledge, the body and mental distress.
