About Martin Malone

Martin Maloneis an Irish novelist and short story writer. His novelThe Broken Cedarwas nominated for the 2003 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.Uswon the John B. Keane/Sunday IndependentAward and his short story collection,The Mango War, won the RTE Francis MacManus Award in 2004. Martins work has also won the Killarney International Short Story Prize and was twice shortlisted for a Hennessy Award and a P.J. OConnor Award. Martin also worked as a military policeman with the Irish Army, under the flag of the United Nations. He served five tours of duty in Lebanon and one in Iraq.
