Middlesbrough: Albert Park - History, Heritage and Restoration by Norman Moorson
Middlesbrough's Albert Park: History, Heritage and Restoration is an account of the background, origins, design, creation and the history of Albert Park. The book describes the transformation that has taken place over a period of the last 130 years. Norman Moorsom takes the reader on an imaginary guided tour of Albert Park, bringing to life the landscape, lakes and historic artefacts that he describes so vividly. There is a great deal of contemporary descriptions and historical material, drawn from newspaper articles, council documents and deeds. Middlesbrough's Albert Park is fully illustrated with fascinating pictures that will bring the story of Albert Park right up to the present day. Due to the current plans for 'Albert Park', there is a detailed account of the restoration master plan that has been backed by the heritage lottery fund. Middlesbrough's Albert Park: History, Heritage and Restoration is published in conjunction with Middlesbrough's Libraries & Information Department.
