Peugeot 308 Petrol & Diesel 07 - 12 (07 To 12) by Peter Gill
Introduced to replace the Peugeot 307, with a range of new turbo petrol engines jointly developed with BMW along with improved 1.6 and 2.0 litre HDi engines. Facelifted in early 2011 and e-HDi economy/low emissions version added. e-HDi labelled a micro-hybrid by the manufacturer but in reality just has stop/start and other fuel/emission saving devices (lower ride, low rolling resistance tyres etc).
Usual build quality issues; range subject to 12 recalls so far.
UK vehicle population (at December 2010) = 82,378. Model is current so total by time of publication will be approaching 100,000.
