The book of Leviticus contains a dazzling collection of gems of truth, embedded in the God-centred society of old Israel. Mined, polished and displayed by an expert, their lustre is as appropriate for our culture as it was in their original Old Testament setting. We, too, are God's craftsmanship. This book encourages us to live in the light of that truth. Leviticus majors on the two great commandments; Love the Lord your God (chapters 1-16) and Love your neighbour as yourself (chapters 17-27).
