The Art of Dexter Brown by Robert Edwards
Dexter Brown is one of the foremost artists working in the automotive field, with many imitators but few equals. He paints in two distinct ways. His dynamic abstract style is familiar to many motorsport fans but, under the pseudonym of de Bruyne, he also does impressionistic pictures of the Edwardian era, when motoring was new. His other work, for rock concerts and the theatre, not to mention his street scenes and intimate figure studies, reveal an unusually diverse talent. This biography, illustrated with a wealth of full-colour examples of his paintings, is an important addition to Haynes' series on motorsport art.
