About Sanchia Oppenheimer

Sanchia Oppenheimer is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with a private practice in Buckinghamshire. She turned her pen to picture books especially to collaborate with daughter Imogen. LUCY GOES TO MARKET was dreamt up over many afternoons sitting on a squishy sofa, fuelled by tea and chocolates. Imogen Clare studied illustration at the University of Northampton and won both the Macmillan Prize for Illustration in 2007 and the AOI New Talent Bronze Award in 2008, all whilst still a student. Illustrated with charm, humour and a vivid imagination LUCY GOES TO MARKET marks the beginning of what will surely be a hugely successful picture book career.
