The Kosovo Crisis Reviews

"This volume throws light on the war over Kosovo in a comprehensive and interesting way, with contributions by specialists on policies and attitudes in each of the main countries and international organisations involved. A useful book, both for unravelling the tangled web of the war and as background for understanding what may follow." - John Pinder, Chairman, The Federal Trust and Honorary Professor, College of Europe "This book captures the complexities of Balkan politics and history. It relates the West's inaction and reaction to a seemingly never-ending regional problem of nationalistic and religious rivalries... It also reveals the current American dilemma - can the USA avoid becoming the world's policeman or does it have a duty and moral responsibility as the world's only super power to intervene in foreign lands for humanitarian reasons. This is a fine and timely book that hopefully will have a wide audience." - Paul M. Green, Director, School of Policy Studies, Roosevelt University, Chicago
