Theatre and Scotland Reviews

'A clear, comprehensive analysis of what theatre in Scotland was, is and may become in the future. It is a timely and important read'. - Ksenija Horvat, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh '...leav[es] the reader with an almost dizzying panorama of a theatrical tradition that is lively, contentious and important; that pushes boundaries ... and is startlingly contemporary and vibrant. A true celebration of Scotland and the Scottish performance culture, this book is a much-needed addition to Scottish theatre scholarship.' - Penelope Cole, University of Colorado, USA
