This book is everything that a student of HR could need to successfully complete a research project. Clearly and eloquently written with a wealth of useful real world examples, it walks a new researcher through the entire process and I would not hesitate in recommending this to my students. * Dr. Jill Hanson, Senior Lecturer, Derby Business School, UK *
This is a very student-friendly text, written in a very accessible manner to help students survive the dissertation experience. Through the use of case examples, students and first-time researchers are provided with excellent guidance on how to craft research questions, find relevant literature, collect and analyse data and formulate conclusions and recommendations. This text demystifies the research process and is suited to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. I would definitely recommend it. * Dr. David McGuire, Academic MCIPD, Senior Lecturer in HRM, Queen Margaret University *
This book succeeds in demystifying research, using concrete examples and topical exercises to support conceptual ideas that are well-grounded in practice.
