Sarah Down ******************* To those of you that are already train-spotters, reading a book in the Tomos a'i Ffrindiau series can be a real treat. In this book we hear of James and his adventures. To those of you familiar with Tomos and his friends, you will be well aware that James is red and that his wheels are smaller than those of Gordon but bigger than the wheels of Tomos. James can pull either coaches or trucks and he is proud of his ability to do so. But James, perhaps, is a little too proud to listen to the Fat Controller and therefore gets into all sorts of trouble. Thankfully, it all ends happily and they are all friends. This is a bilingual book and can be of great assistance to children and parents learning Welsh. Personally, I would have preferred less text on the page - having so many words can sometimes be off-putting for young readers. -- Sarah Down @ www.gwales.com
