A Garden of Eden: Plant-life in South-east Asia by Wendy Veevers-Carter
South-East Asia is remarkable not only for its rich and diverse culture and its racial mix, but also for the wealthy variety of its plant life. The humid latitudes produce a natural hot-house in which a profusion of plant forms can multiply and proliferate, providing food and other necessities on a large scale to the local inhabitants. This guide to the fauna of the region is beautifully illustrated by the author and by Mohd Anwar's colour drawings.
