HRH Queen Elizabeth II was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom, and Head of the Commonwealth, on 2 June, 1953 at the age of 27 and in 2012 celebrates a 60 years on the throne. The Queen has been one of the most photographed women in the world, with strong media interest ever since the days of her childhood. This selection of 20 postcards - taken from the Ammonite Press book Queen Elizabeth II - is a celebration of an outstanding figure in British history.
