Books by Gordon Biddle

Gordon Biddle has been researching transport history for over fifty years, with particular emphasis on railways and inland waterways. He has written numerous articles and books, many reflecting his special interest in railway architecture and engineering. He is actively concerned with the conservation of historic structures and is a member of the Railway Heritage Trust advisory panel. With Michael Harris he was co-founder of the National Railway Heritage awards, was chairman of its adjudication panel, and still acts as a judge. He is a vice-president of the Railway and Canal Historical Society and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
