Books by Julie Monks

Gillian Lobel grew up in a warm, supportive working class community. She read English at Manchester University and then went on to do a Post Graduate Certificate of Education at Leicester University. She has taught children with Special Educational Needs and worked as a home tutor for sick or excluded children. She is married with grown up children who now have children of their own. She loves being a grandmother. Julie Monks is an exciting new illustrator in the world of children's books. Her first book, The Housekinders won the silver medal in The Best of British Children's Illustration. She has her own range of greetings cards.
