Books by Roberta Gilchrist

Roberta Gilchrist is Professor of Archaeology and Dean of Research at the University of Reading and a Fellow of the British Academy. She has published widely on aspects of medieval religion and belief and the archaeology of gender. Her publications include 'Medieval Life: archaeology and the life course' (2012), 'Norwich Cathedral Close: the evolution of the English cathedral landscape' (2005) and, with Barney Sloane, 'Requiem: the medieval monastic cemetery in Britain' (2005). Cheryl Green completed her PhD at the University of Reading on the Quarr stone building industry in Roman, Saxon and medieval Britain. She is Lead Report Writer, Post-Excavation Manager and Historic Buildings Specialist at Context One Archaeological Services Ltd.
