Books by Steven Knight

Steven Knight read Eng. Lit. at University College London before working in advertising. Three novels have been published by Penguin: The Movie House (WH Smith Fresh Talent Award, 1993); Alphabet City (1995), which has been published in 12 countries; and Out of the Blue (1997). In 2002, his first screenplay, Dirty Pretty Things, directed by Stephen Frears, won the Evening Standard Best Film and Best Actor Awards, Best British Screenwriter at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards and an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He also created the format for Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
