Marianne Pickles is the author of Artificial Selection, the first novel in the ArkTech Series. She writes mysteries set in a future where the climate crisis is history, exploring existential questions through lighthearted storytelling. In 2023, she won the Green Stories Novel Prize. Originally from Aberdeenshire, Marianne now lives on low-lying land in the Fens with her partner, David. They're contemplating learning to kayak.
