101 Double-Ended Hook Stitches by Connie Ellison
Great reference book of 101 double-ended stitch patterns for Crochet-On-the-Double and Crochenit hooks. Photos of both sides of swatch.Feb 11
This is a book on how to do 101 different stitches using double-ended hooksThere are a number of different ones on the market but you will have to decide for yourself which to choose; they are not introduced in here. What you get with this book is exactly what it says on the cover; 101 stitches on the same number of pages, each with a colored example and full instructions on how to do it. There are two projects at the back, one for a classic winter hat and the other for a hooded baby blanket, but it is up to you to locate suitable patterns and apply your new knowledge of the stitches to them. At the beginning there are two pages of staged general instructions on how to work with one type of hook (the type sold by publisher Annie's Attic called a Crochet on the Double hook). The stitches themselves are all shown worked in two colors, and the type and weight of yarn and size of hook used to make the sample are listed. If you are not already a crochet fan then this is going to be rather advanced, but if you are and fancy having a go with a double-ended hook then you can learn a lot of stitches with the minimum amount of fuss in these pages.
