He commanded five planes in China, was a barnstormer for a while and from his home in North America he undertook endurance flights and explorations. His most important explorations have taken place in the Gran Sabana in Venezuela, one of the most impressive places in the world. Jimmie Angel was convinced he would find gold here, if only he could land his plane above the Angel Falls, on top of the Auyan Tepui, or Devil Mountain.
