Broussard Ph. D., Thomas G., Jr.: - Dr. Broussard was an associate dean at The Heller School at Brandeis University until his stroke in 2011. After the stroke, he could not read, write, or speak well. He started Stroke Educator, Inc., with a national Aphasia Awareness Campaign dedicated to educating the wider public about aphasia, a life-changing language disorder that few people have ever heard of! Since then, he has spoken (in person and online) in 26 states, giving over 225 presentations to more than 5,000 people with stroke and aphasia, and to their families, caregivers, clinicians, and students.
