Ability Development from Age Zero by Shinichi-Suzuki
This book deals with the philosophies of the maxillomandibular relationship in prosthetic rehabilitation. The maxillomandibular relationship used in the planning and execution of prosthetic rehabilitation is controversial and usually linked to the complexity of the treatment. The aim of this study was to determine the philosophy taught by educators at Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) regarding the maxillomandibular relationship as a function of the type of prosthetic rehabilitation treatment indicated, as well as to define the educator's profile. A questionnaire survey was applied to five clinical scenarios of patients with discrepancies between RC and MIH. It was concluded that there is a great diversity of philosophies used at HEIs as to which maxillomandibular relationship is the most recommended. The choice depends on the extent of the prosthetic rehabilitation treatment employed and the presence of signs and symptoms of traumatic occlusion. The educators' philosophy was consolidated during postgraduate studies, and the professors are masters and doctors in the field of oral rehabilitation.| SKU | Unavailable |
