Bruce Weigl is an American modern poet who teaches at Lorain County Community College. He was born on January 27, 1949, in Lorain, Ohio. Weigl enrolled in the United States Army shortly after turning eighteen and served for three years. He got the Bronze Star for his service in the Vietnam War, where he served from December 1967 to December 1968.
