Ack-Ack Macaque by Gareth L Powell
In 1944, as German ninjas parachute into Kent, Britain's hopes lie with a cigar-chomping monkey Spitfire pilot. A century later, journalist Victoria Valois is hunting the man who killed her husband, while the heir to the Franco-British throne breaks into a research facility and goes on the run. And the countdown to Armageddon has begun...
