Sybil Thomas is faculty at the Department of Education, University of Mumbai, Mumbai. She has been in the field of teacher education for over two decades with a short stint of administrative experience as a Principal of a College of Education. Her doctoral study was in the area of studying attitudes of adolescence towards educated and working women. She teaches courses related to the philosophical and sociological basis of education and e-learning. Her area of research centers around transformative pedagogies for developing agency, advocacy and social responsibilities.
