The Aftershock of Neoliberal Education by Barbara Mcveigh
For over one year Barbara McVeigh served as a substitute teacher in San Francisco and Marin County public schools. She had opportunity to observe and learn about the current state of public education often witnessing daily trauma, abuse and a disregard for what should be natural - a respect toward another human being. Her notes are not meant to shame or blame, but rather they are to expose a toxic system of disrespect and inadequate schooling so we can reconcile the challenges we have as a means to heal and reshape who and what we are as California and as an American society.
McVeigh, Barbara: - Barbara McVeigh is a writer, producer, film maker, activist, educator, mother and sailor and learned the universe loves to laugh. She lives in Northern California and calls on all Musicians, Mortals, Mariners, Angels, Gods and Goddesses to join her for one mission, let's advocate respect for our natural world and ensure a healthy, happy future for all our children.
