
Alice Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll
A classic much-loved tale is vividly brought to life in the beautiful illustrations of the award-winning artist Helen Oxenbury.Lewis Carroll was born on 27 January 1832. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford and went on to become a a mathematical lecturer there from 1855 to 1881. Lewis Carroll's most famous works are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (published in 1865) and the sequel Alice Through the Looking-Glass, which contained the nonsense poem classic The Jabberwocky (published in 1872). He died of bronchitis on 14 July 1898.
Helen Oxenbury is among the most popular and critically acclaimed illustrators of her time.
