Many factors are involved in developing the great personality of Allama Iqbal. An understanding of Eastern imaginations, Western philosophy and Islamic ideals and thoughts is prominently evident in his personality. This is the reason why many sciences are needed to fully understand the words of Iqbal, if Islamic sciences are also learned along with the general sciences of the East and the West, it becomes clear that modern education alone cannot create a true understanding of Iqbal.

علامہ اقبال کی عظیم المرتبت شخصیت کو پروان چڑھانے میں بہت سارے عوامل کا عمل دخل رہا ہے۔ مشرقی تخیلات، مغربی فلسفہ اور اسلامی نظریات اور افکار کا درک، ان کی شخصیت میں نمایاں طور پر واضح ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ کلام اقبال کو مکمل طور پر سمجھنے کے لئے کئی علوم کی ضرورت ہے، مشرق و مغرب کے عام علوم کے ساتھ اسلامی علوم بھی سیکھے جائیں تو بات بنتی ہے، محض جدید تعلیم صحیح اقبال شناسی پیدا نہیں کر سکتی۔
