The American Woodland Garden by Rick Darke

Mothers express their love for their babies in so many ways. They love, protect, teach, and nurture. This book is a poem that reflects just a fraction of that love with fifteen adorable animal pairs.

Animals Include: Deer, Rabbit, Hippo, Meerkat, Chimp, Sloth, Chicken, Sheep, Swan, Turtle, Angelfish, Otter, Platypus, Elephant, and Cat

Rick Darke is a landscape designer, author, lecturer, and photographer located in Pennsylvania who uses art, ecology, and cultural geography to create and conserve living environments. Scenic byways, public gardens, corporate and academic campuses, mixed-use conservation schemes, and residential gardens are just a few of his designs. Darke worked at Longwood Gardens for twenty years and was awarded the American Horticultural Society's Scientific Prize. The New York Times and National Public Radio have both covered his work. Darke is regarded as one of the world's foremost experts on grasses and their applications in both public and private settings. Visit www.rickdarke.com for more details.
