Angel Fire by Christine Pope

The winter brings more than just a chill.

When strange forces begin to threaten her hometown, it's up to Kirsten Swenson to save her friends and family from certain destruction. Agreeing to work with a mysterious Man in Black proves to be more than Kirsten ever bargained for, because Agent Martin Jones is far more than he seems. With his ability to awaken the powers that have lain dormant within her, Martin draws out the shocking secrets that were buried in Kirsten's past, while also encouraging her to give in to her heart. But when the aliens force her to make the ultimate sacrifice, Kirsten realizes that sometimes following her heart isn't enough.

Christine Pope, a Southern California native, has been writing stories since she was in sixth grade and seized her family's Smith-Corona typewriter. Her short stories have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize on two occasions. Christine writes paranormal romance, fantasy romance, and science fiction/space opera romance when the whim strikes her. She attributes this to her proclivity for being distracted by bright, flashy objects, which could explain the magnitude of her shoe collection. She now works as a freelance editor and graphic designer in addition to writing fiction after spending many years in the magazine publishing sector.

While researching the Sedona Trilogy, she fell in love with Sedona, Arizona, and now calls it home, surrounded by red rocks. But, no extraterrestrial sightings have been reported...at least not yet!
