Annie Storybook by Amy Ehrlich

Amy Ehrlich is an award-winning children's and young adult author who has written over thirty books. She also had a successful career as an editor of children's books, where she collaborated with many of the industry's best authors and artists. I've always been attracted by the Torah -- both as an object and as a repository of stories, she says of With a Mighty Hand. I intended to develop a rendition of the Torah that was accessible without abandoning its strength, strangeness, or the rhythm of its language when I set out to do so. I opted to write it in free verse, focusing on the characters and the story's heart-stopping drama. Amy Ehrlich is from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
