Architecture and the Environment by Christopher Martin

This volume relies largely on the writings and speeches of HRH The Prince of Wales and includes a presentation of the script of his evocative and controversial television film, "The Earth of Balance". The interaction between the built and natural environment is analyzed in the light of the future King's philosophy and the volume is augmented by a series of specially commissioned essays including Geoffrey Lean on the media, Sir Crispin Tickell on academia, the Rev. Michael Mann on religion and Fiona Reynolds on the countryside. The texts of the Prince's speeches on specific issues ranging from the South American rainforests to nature conservation in the UK contribute to this volume on one of today's most burning issues.

John Dunning is Emeritus Professor of International Business at the University of Reading, and State of New Jersey Professor of International Business at Rutgers University. He has been researching into the economics of international direct investment and the multinational enterprise since the
1950's and has authored, co-authored or edited numerous books on this subject and on industrial and regional economics.
