
Art from Contemporary Conflict by Sara Bevan
Art from Contemporary Conflict provides an introduction to IWM's remarkable contemporary art collection, showcasing a range of powerful works responding to the changing nature of contemporary warfare and conflicts including Northern Ireland, the Falklands, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Sara Bevan has worked at IWM since 2004. In 2013 she curated Catalyst: Contemporary Art and War at IWM North in Manchester, an exhibition of the museum's contemporary art collection from the Gulf War onwards. Other recent projects include the launch of the IWM Contemporary programme with Omer Fast's fi lm 5000 Feet is the Best in 2013, an exhibition of works by Ori Gersht at IWM London in 2012, and Loss at the Golden Thread Gallery in Belfast in the same year.
