AS Level Psychology by Michael W Eysenck

Focuses on the nature and scope of psychology as a science with an emphasis on how science works, and guidance on how to engage students in practical scientific research activities. This book includes coverage of six areas in psychology: human memory, early social development, research methods, stress, social influence and abnormality.

"This excellent new edition of a successful and popular textbook, substantially rewritten, is full of new details, new studies and ideas, all directly relevant to the new specificationMany topics have been updated with current research and new examples and the style is so accessible and friendly. There are also very useful online resources to engage students plus some for teacher use. This is a valuable contribution to the teaching and learning of psychology AS." – Evie Bentley, Advanced Skills Practitioner for Psychology, West Sussex Adult and Community Learning; Chairperson 1999-2002, The Association for the Teaching of Psychology, www.theATP.org.

"This book follows in the tradition of Michael's previous textbooks. The content of the specification is followed faithfully and covered thoroughly; the writing style is interesting and accessible; the examples are relevant and fascinating and the research combines the classic with the up-to-date. Together with the wonderful illustrations, this book brings Psychology to life. Quite simply, an excellent resource for students and their teachers." Diana Dwyer, Head of Psychology, The West Bridgford School
