Stephen Wade was born in Leeds. He was educated at the University of Wales and Leeds, he gained a PHD and an MA. Now Stephen lectures in English at the University of Huddersfield, spending twenty years of his life teaching in further education. In acclaim of his writing skills, Stephen won a local history prize in the Ottaker's/Tempus publication, 'Huddersfield'.
