The method of vitrification of oocytes and embryos is fundamental for the outcome of IVF. Pierre Vanderzwalmen is an ESHRE-certified senior clinical embryologist and scientific coordinator at the IVF Centres of Professor Zech in Bregenz, Austria, and at the IVF unit at the Centre Hospitalier Inter-régional Edith Cavell (CHIREC) in Braine l'alleud-Brussels, Belgium. Barbara Wirleitner is an ESHRE-certified clinical embryologist and second scientific coordinator at the IVF Centres of Professor Zech in Bregenz, Austria.
