Balancing Acts by Lucy Gray

Through photographs and interviews, Balancing Acts chronicles thirteen years in the often-dramatic lives of three principal dancers in the San Francisco Ballet (Kristin Long, Tina LeBlanc, and Katita Waldo) who continued to dance after becoming mothers.
Lucy Gray is an award-winning photographer whose work has been featured in the New York Times, the (Sunday) Independent, Mother Jones, Brick, Dance Magazine, and Salon.com, as well as in exhibitions and projects across the United States. She began photographing the ballerinas in Balancing Acts in 1999.
